Hog Roasts are a great catering option for large numbers and can really add to the atmosphere of the event. Your guests will be served with soft rolls from our local bakers, stuffed full of succulent pork that’s topped with apple sauce, all wrapped in a napkin. It’s also a really low-stress option as our two staff do all the work to cook and carve the pig and serve the rolls to your guests.
All our pork is free range; born and reared outdoors on a farm near the village of Storrington, West Sussex. The farmer uses a carefully developed style of husbandry and well-trained staff to ensure the pigs enjoy an un-stressed life of fresh air and additive-free food. This care, along with his selection of traditional breeds, makes for very flavoursome pork.
A standard hog roast will feed between 80 and 150 people (depending on how hungry your guests are!). For larger numbers we can of course do more than one roast. If you’d like salads and so on, we can provide those too.
For fewer than 80 people we would normally recommend our BBQ service. That doesn’t mean you can’t have a Hog Roast for smaller parties – of course you can. However, if you do, you will have a lot of leftovers as there will still be the same amount of food available as for a much bigger party.
